Our Club Achievements

The Bulldog Spirit is Alive and Well

Welcome to the Golden Square Bowls and Croquet Club, where we take great pride in hosting a diverse community of individuals who have come together to forge enduring memories on our manicured greens, all while engaging in spirited competition.

Spanning a wide array of categories, our club welcomes both men and women of all ages, including our dedicated youth and seasoned members, who have enthusiastically participated in various open, graded and handicap singles and pairs championship events.

Within these hallowed grounds, we celebrate our rich history of achievement, which dates back as early as 1925 and continues to flourish to this day. Our digital honour boards stand as a testament to these remarkable accomplishments, serving as a chronicle of excellence that resonates throughout our club's storied history.

Feel free to click on each achievement board and honour board within their categories. (Please contact the website co-ordinator if you have additional information).

Our Greens

Our distinguished club proudly features two illustrious greens, each bearing the name of two of our most revered bowlers. The Frank Johns Green (front green), named in honour of the remarkable Frank Johns, who clinched an astounding 9 club singles championships, stands as a testament to his unparalleled skill and dedication. Similarly, the Norm Townsend Green (rear green), christened in tribute to the exceptional Norm Townsend, who exemplified the Golden Square tradition through his remarkable contributions to our club's legacy.
